What we collect

When you use AI Trading Coach, we collect:

Account information — your email address and encrypted password, used for authentication.
Trade data — trade details you enter or upload (pair, direction, entry, stop, emotion, outcome). This is stored to provide coaching, reports, and behavioral analysis.
Chart screenshots — images you upload for AI analysis. These are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to extract trade information. Screenshots are not permanently stored on our servers.
Prop firm configuration — account size, drawdown limits, and other settings you enter in Prop Firm Mode.
Usage data — how you interact with the app (pages visited, features used), collected through standard analytics.

How we use your data

To provide AI coaching and trade analysis
To generate your behavioral reports (Trader DNA, Behavior Stats, Coach Insights)
To track your prop firm account limits and provide safety alerts
To send you trade summaries, streak milestones, and weekly digests (via email)
To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

OpenAI — processes chart screenshots and generates AI coaching responses. Your trade data is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Supabase — stores your account data, trade history, and prop firm configuration.
Resend — sends transactional emails (trade summaries, password resets, weekly digests).
Railway — hosts the application.
Meta (Facebook), Google, TikTok — tracking pixels for conversion analytics. These may collect browsing data as described in their respective privacy policies.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security. Passwords are hashed. Sessions are encrypted. We use CSRF protection and rate limiting to prevent unauthorized access.

Your rights

You can:

Export your data — use the CSV export or backup feature in the app
Delete your account — contact us and we will delete all your data
Opt out of emails — unsubscribe links are included in all automated emails

Cookies and local storage

We use browser cookies for session management and localStorage for app preferences (theme, goal settings, prop firm config). We do not sell your data to third parties.

Children

AI Trading Coach is not intended for anyone under 18 years old.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
